Women's Special Programs Topics (1-2 hours each)

Marriage Topics
  • The 10 A's of Respecting Your Husband: En Ephesians 5:33, God exhorts a wife to respect her husband. What does that mean? What does that look like in a relationship, especially if a husband doesn't deserve respect? Judy explores 10 ways a wife lives out her respect and the impact it can have on a husband. (Foundational Scripture: Ephesians 5:33)
  • Enjoying Your Husband ~ God's Principles for Delightful Married Sex: Do you know that sexual intimacy with your husband delights God? Many Christian marriages, however, are negatively affected by the world's distortion of the sexual relationship. When we understand and embrace God's truths about sex, not only will our sexual response be refreshed and revitalized in our marriages, but God will breathe new life into other areas of our marital relationship as well. Judy's workshop will teach us how to delight ourselves in the Lord and in our husbands! (Foundational Scriptures: Genesis 2:24 and 1 Corinthians 7:3-5)
  • Romancing Your Husband: Romance is learned, and for many of us wives who may be out of practice, relearned, only this time with maturity and solid biblical principles as the foundation. And what about our men? Who's going to teach them to romance us? We'll teach them-by doing! Judy will share fun and unique ways we can build romance back into our marriages. (Foundational Scriptures: Song of Solomon)
  • Words are Not Enough ~ The Art of Communicating: The enemy of a great relationship is ineffective communication, shared by its competitor-silence. Learn the "what" and "how" of effective communication in Judy's presentation. (Foundational Scripture: Ephesians 4:29)
  • My Husband, My Friend: Are you preparing for the empty nest, even if your children are still little ones? Now is the time to be cultivating your relationship with the one with whom God made you one, so that the empty nest is a place of rich joy for both you and your husband.
  • Praying for Your Husband: Do you pray for your husband or about your husband? Does it matter? Well, if prayer changes things, then how we pray does matter. Judy teaches how the prayer of a righteous wife can be powerful and effective for a marriage relationship. (Foundational Scripture: James 5:16)
  • Building a Strong Military Marriage: The U.S military isn't just fighting a war in the Middle East. According to a recent, front-page article in USA Today (June 8, 2005), the divorce rate in active duty officer and enlisted ranks has risen sharply with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Why is this? What weapons is the Enemy using against military marriages that leave so many defenseless? Judy will share biblical insights and practical tips on how to keep your marriage strong in the midst of separation.
  • 12 Ways to Honor, Strengthen, and Restore Your Marriage: What is it that helps a marriage get through today's grueling demands and challenges, to not just survive, but thrive? Judy will give twelve practical tips on how to honor your husband, strengthen your relationship, and breathe new life into your marriage.
Non-Marriage Topics:
  • Forgiveness ~ The Path to Freedom: No relationship goes unhindered by offense, whether in the form of disappointment, disillusionment, or deliberate sin. This session will take you to those places in your relationships that require a touch of the Master's hand-and a measure of His grace and mercy. (Foundational Scripture: Matthew 6:12, 14, 15; 18:21-35)
  • Conflict: God's Litmus Test of Faith: Have you ever considered conflict to be a blessing from God? What is it about conflict that can mature us and even benefit the one with whom we're in conflict? Judy gives Biblical insight into why conflict is a great test of our faith. (Foundational Scripture: James 1:19-20)
  • The Five "A's of Knowing God: Who is God, and how can what we know of Him make a difference in how we live for Him? Judy explores five attributes of God that can help to solidify our faith and shore up our belief system for the challenges in life.
  • Living for God ~ The Savior and the Helper: Who is Jesus? Why did He have to come? And the Holy Spirit? What's His role our lives? Do we understand that we really can't live a victorious life in Christ without the Spirit? Judy will help explain how life in Christ through the power of His Holy Spirit frees us to be all that God intends us to become.
  • Communicating God's Way: Everyone can talk, but not everyone can communicate. Effective communication is the bedrock of a healthy relationship. It establishes rapport, fosters understanding, and expands knowledge. Good communication builds up, clears up, shapes up, and shores up a relationship. The ability to communicate well is learned. Judy will share godly guidelines on how to communicate effectively by speaking correctly, listening carefully, and understand clearly.
  • For the Love of Christ ~ Do You Live What You Say You Believe? ~ Why is life so tough? Why are relationships such a challenge? Why do we need a Savior? Why did Jesus have to come? Do we really understand what life is all about? Where are we in Christ, and where are we headed? Does it matter? Our answers to these questions matter to God, and I believe He wants them to matter to us, because viewing life and relationships from His perspective gives them meaning and purpose. God wants us to go deeper in our lives for the love of Christ. (Foundational Scripture: Genesis 3.)
  • Honoring and Restoring Relationships: Why are relationships so important? And why are they so difficult? Judy explores the divine reasons for relationship, their challenges and benefits, and how to overcome even the most agonizing aspects of a difficult relationship.
Parenting Topics
  • Pointers on Parenting: What do natural children, adopted children, and step-children have in common? They were deliberately placed in our families by God Himself. Therefore, He wants us to rear each child with three important perspectives in mind: careful thought, purposeful planning, and consistant application of His truth. Judy lays out seven Biblically-based parenting pointers that can positively impact the current dynamic of any home.
